This year again, Team RSM is participating in the biggest student sailing competition in Europe: The Race of the Classics. On April 2nd, the Hendrika Bartelds will leave the port of Rotterdam for a sensational sailing race to England. 500 students will battle with their teams to win the Challenge Cup, the Golden Compass, the RAA and the Media Award. We will sail to several cities in the Netherlands and Belgium, where we enjoy numerous parties. After that, we will cross the North Sea and race to England to win the title! When we arrive in England, we will even have a fancy gala with all teams. On the 8th of April, we will enter the port of Amsterdam and enjoy the final PortSide party together with all teams to celebrate the end of the trip.
Last year, Team RSM won ‘De Rees’, and this year we are striving to continue this success. However, to realise that, we need you! The week will be filled with sailing, partying and meeting new people. There is absolutely no sailing experience required to participate. Until the 27th of November, you have the chance to sign up to come on board with Team RSM ROTC 2017. And if you do, you will be part of the most amazing team, have an awesome trip, get your own sailing gear, enjoy team dinners and activities and we will make sure it is a week you will never forget!
At last, please come to our recruitment drinks where we will be happy to meet you and tell you everything about the trip! The drinks will take place at Tuesday the 15th and Thursday the 24th of November at café ‘In the Smitse’, starting at 4 pm. If you would like to know more about the ROTC, visit the official website www.rotc.nl, like our Facebook page ‘Race of the Classics team RSM’ or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to meet you soon and we will keep you updated!

The acquisition that is needed this year might be quite a challenge, but of course we will make it with this year’s Race of the Classics team. I am looking forward to see some cars drive on the left side of the road when we hit England during the race. It will be a great journey and you can join if you apply for it!
