Marisa (they/them) is the proud founder and formulator of Primal Essence Cosmetics. As a plant-powered eco-warrior, healthy lifestyle enthusiast and “foodie”, they shifted their focus from the world of corporate Human Resources to chase their true passions, and taught themselves how to be an entrepreneur. They became a certified herbalist and are currently studying to become an advanced certified formulator.
Switching from a 14 year career in HR to starting their own business that fits their personal goals was a leap of faith, but is paying off in a fulfilling manner. And when they are not spending time in nature, doing yoga or on board games, Marisa dedicates a great deal of time thinking about how to formulate healthy and nourishing natural and vegan cosmetics that make people healthier and more confident in their own skin, whilst figuring out sustainable solutions to reduce the big cosmetic footprint on this planet.
