In this first edition of the RSM-STAR Changemaker Forum (formerly: RSM-STAR Sustainability Forum) we aim to build on the essence of the previous Sustainability Forums. Last year’s theme focused on responsibility, and this year we further build upon that by inspiring RSM students to take action. The forum, with the theme of Take change in your own hands’’, will focus on the strategic implementation of sustainable initiatives. It will take place on May 24 and May 25 2023. As an attender, you will be able to start your journey as a changemaker:

  1. Keep up with the latest sustainable initiatives taken by business leaders
  2. Network with the speakers from startups and big companies
  3. Get the conversation going with other like-minded participants

Sign up now for free for one (or multiple) of the workshops below!

(note: if you want to sign up for both workshop timeslots, you have to sign up twice)

Workshop timeslot 1 (10:00-12:00)

  • Workshop Sustainable Business Strategies by Kata Bors from South Pole. On the basis of discussing a relevant case study, Kata will encourage participants to come up with a sustainable business strategy, which the participants will pitch at the end of the workshop. Duration: around 1 hour. Location: Mandeville T3-30
  • Workshop Sustainable Entrepreneurship by Marisa Conde from Primal Essence. In this workshop, Marisa will guide the students in coming up with the best ways of including sustainable practices in new companies, along with general entrepreneurial advice. Duration: around 1 hour. Location: Langeveld 1.09

Workshop timeslot 2 (13:00-15:00)

  • Workshop The 4 steps to Purpose Driven Leadership by Lieke Hallegraeff from Purpose Club. A change in the business world starts with a change in leadership. We’re not talking about the ‘standard leader’ here, the leader of a team, but individuals who clearly feel that they want to make an impact with their work. In the workshop we will look at the qualities required for a successful purpose-driven leader – and with a few exercises you will get an idea of where you still lack potential at the moment and how you can implement purpose into the things you do. Duration: 1-1,5 hours. Location: Langeveld 1.08
  • Workshop Future Changemakers and the IDG’s as essential toolbox enhancer by Erica Harpe, Piero Gandini and Noah Maurer. In this interactive workshop, Erica, Piero and Noah will guide the participants and provide them with awareness on the Inner Development Goals (IDGs). The importance of IDGs in reaching the SDGs from the United Nations will become clear during the workshop. Duration: around 2 hours. Location: Polak 2-04.
