Renske Vermeer

Hi everyone! My name is Renske Vermeer and I am the Chairman of the XLIVth STAR Board. I am 21 years old and I am in my 3rd year of my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I grew up in Rosmalen, which is a town near to ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In my first year at university, I joined the Speaker Series of STAR with the idea of meeting a lot of new people. We organised several academic events with different speakers, among which was the CEO of Coolblue, Pieter Zwart! I really enjoyed my time there, so I decided to join STAR’s iCare committee in my third year. Unfortunately, we could not do the volunteering project which the iCare committee usually does, due to COVID. Nevertheless, I met a lot of new people and learned different skills. Now, I want to further develop, both on a social and professional level, so applying for the STAR Board was a great opportunity for me!

As the Chairman of STAR, I am responsible for the long-term strategy of STAR. I support my fellow board members in their activities and make sure that we maintain a great relationship with the RSM. I also supervise the STAR Erasmus Consulting Board and it is my mission to include sustainability and societal impact throughout all of STAR’s activities.

I am looking forward to the upcoming year and I am extremely excited about meeting all of you!
