Thom van Dalen

Hi there! My name is Thom van Dalen. I’ve had the opportunity to lead the XLIIIrd STAR Board as Chairman 2020-2021. I am 21 years old and grew up in Harderwijk. Four years ago, I moved to Rotterdam to start my bachelor’s in business administration and joined STAR’s Activity Team Active Members committee. This resulted in a year full of fun and meeting a lot of great people. I really enjoyed the environment at STAR which led to my application for the BA Study Trip Committee in my second year, which led to an unforgettable trip to Shanghai. While finishing up my bachelor, I knew I was ready for a new challenge, so I applied for the XLIIIrd STAR board.

As Chairman you are responsible for the policy and long-term strategy of STAR. Supporting you fellow board members in their activities and make sure that we maintain a great relationship with the RSM are absolute priorities in this role. Besides, I’ve had a lot of fun in supervising the STAR Erasmus Consulting Board. Having had the opportunity to develop myself in such a creative, fun but at the same time professional environment has taught me a lot. It’s an experience I’ll never forget.
